Since we started in 1975, the Alberta Ukrainian Zirka Performers continues to show our pride of culture through music and dance. Zirka’s goals are to provide our students with a positive cultural dance experience with our strong heritage of dance excellence. For over two generations, Zirka has created some of the most authentic and intricate regional costumes, music and dance performances.
Zirka participates in festivals and competitions across western Canada including special events in our community and abroad, including the RCMP veterans centennial celebration and Canada day celebrations in Banff 2005. Zirka’s members enjoy our celebrated Family Social event in February and celebrated our 30th anniversary year-end concert performance in June 2006. If you and your children are looking for a positive dance experience where you can have fun and be part of something truly special, we welcome you to join us! |
